How to Link Your Wildgate Account to a Dreamhaven Account

Whether you're brand new or have already started playing, this guide will help you make sure your accounts are properly linked. 

Before linking your game account to your Dreamhaven account, please take a moment to double-check that you’re selecting the correct platform account. We often see players accidentally link the wrong account.

• If you accidentally link the wrong Steam, Epic, or Discord account, don’t worry! You can log into account.dreamhaven.com and unlink it yourself. However, please note that you can only relink the same third-party account after unlinking. If you need to connect a different account instead, reach out to us with your Steam ID, Epic, or Discord username - we can usually help get things sorted.
• However, PlayStation and Xbox accounts cannot be unlinked once connected. If you accidentally link the wrong console account, we won’t be able to change it later.

What Does It Mean to Link Accounts?

When you play Wildgate on Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox, a temporary game account is created for you. To unlock full access to features like account linking, cross-progression, account recovery, and support tools, you’ll need to create a Dreamhaven account and link your platform account to it.

There are a few different ways to create and manage your Dreamhaven account. Choose the path below that best describes your situation:

I Have Played Wildgate and I Don’t Have a Dreamhaven Account

All you need to do is create a Dreamhaven account by logging in with your platform account!

In-Game Steps:

1. Log into Wildgate
2. Open the Social Panel
3. Go to the Accounts Settings tab
4. Click Link Account
5. A page will open that includes a QR code, as well as a link.
6. Scan the code or click the link.
7. You'll be taken to the Dreamhaven Account Signup page. Click the Sign Up tab.
8. Enter your date of birth and click Submit.
9. Enter your email address and click Continue.
10. Check your email for the verification code, then add it into the verification code box, along with selecting your Country/Region, Unique Display Name, and Password.
11. Agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then click Complete.

Congratulations! Your Dreamhaven account is now created and your platform account should already be linked. You can check this on the Linked Accounts page in your Dreamhaven account. 

You can now link additional third-party accounts to your Dreamhaven account. Just be sure you’re selecting the right accounts to link. A full guide on account linking can be found here.

Out-of-Game Steps:

1. Go to account.dreamhaven.com.
2. Click the icon of the platform you have played on (Steam, Epic, Xbox, PlayStation).
3. Log in using your credentials for that platform.
   • Note: The login process will differ per platform. Make sure you're logging into the correct platform account before proceeding.
4. After logging in, you'll be taken to the Dreamhaven Account Signup page. Click the Sign Up tab.
5. Enter your date of birth and click Submit.
6. Enter your email address and click Continue.
7. Check your email for the verification code, then add it into the verification code box, along with selecting your Country/Region, Unique Display Name, and Password.
8. Agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then click Complete.

Congratulations! Your Dreamhaven account is now created and your platform account should already be linked. You can check this on the Linked Accounts page in your Dreamhaven account. 

You can now link additional third-party accounts to your Dreamhaven account. Just be sure you’re selecting the right accounts to link. A full guide on account linking can be found here.

I Have Played Wildgate and I Have a Dreamhaven Account

Not a problem. All you need to do is merge them together.

In-Game Steps:

Use this option if you are getting a message saying your Steam, Epic, or Console account is already linked.

1. Launch Wildgate, go to the Social tab - it's the icon on the top right with the 3 people.
2. Click on the Account Settings button - the gear icon with the person in it.
3. Click the Link Account button.
4. A screen will open with a QR code and a link.
5. Click the link or scan the QR code.
6. This will open a browser that should let you link your Dreamhaven account. Just make sure you click the "Link Account" tab, as it defaults to signing up for a new Dreamhaven account.

Out-of-Game Steps:

1. Go to account.dreamhaven.com.
2. Log into your Dreamhaven Account using your Email Address and Password.
3. Go to the Linked Accounts tab, and click the Link an Account button.
4. Select the third party platform that you previously played Wildgate on.
   • If you have played on more than one platform and want to link both, you will be asked to select which platform you want to keep your progress from. Please ensure you select the right platform, as your data from the other will be overwritten during this process.
5. Click Continue (this will redirect you to a login page).
6. Log into the account you wish to link to your Dreamhaven account, and follow the verification steps.
   • Note: The login process will differ per platform.
7. Once you complete the linking process, you should be brought back to your Dreamhaven account.

You now have merged your Wildgate account with your Dreamhaven account! 

You can link third-party accounts to your Dreamhaven account. Just be sure you’re selecting the right accounts to link.  A full guide on account linking can be found here.

I Haven't Played Wildgate Yet and I Do Not have a Dreamhaven Account

You're all set to create a Dreamhaven account, and link your third party accounts to it.

Steps:

1. Go to account.dreamhaven.com.
2. Click the Create one now! text at the bottom of the page.
3. Input your date of birth and click Submit.
4. Add your email address and click Register.
5. Check your email for the verification code, then add it into the verification code box, along with selecting your Country/Region, Unique Display Name, and Password.
6. Agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then click Complete.

Congratulations, you now have a Dreamhaven account! 

You can link third-party accounts to your Dreamhaven account. Just be sure you’re selecting the right accounts to link.  A full guide on account linking can be found here.

Important Notes

• You may think that you’ve already created a Dreamhaven account if you signed up to be part of our playtest, but you likely created a https://firstlook.gg/ account. Firstlook helped us to distribute playtest keys, but is not the same as a Dreamhaven account.
• We currently do not support unlinking a third-party platform from one Dreamhaven account and attaching it to another.

If you're unsure which method you've used, try logging into account.dreamhaven.com with both your email and your third-party login to check your linked accounts.
