Welcome to Typhon Reach, Prospector! Play Wildgate for free with no restrictions on gameplay up to Prospector Level 5, and keep your progression if you decide to purchase Wildgate.
- Wildgate Free Trial is available on PS5 starting on November 20 and on Steam and Xbox Series X|S on November 24.
- Play Wildgate for free until you reach Prospector Level 5.
- Keep your progression and the Friends you have added if you purchase Wildgate.
How-To for each platform
Ready to conquer the Reach and play with other Prospectors? Check out below on how to download Wildgate for each platform:
PlayStation 5 (PS5)
- From your PS5 Home Screen, go to the PlayStation Store icon.
- Select the Search option and search for Wildgate.
- Select Free and select Add to Library.
Xbox Series X|S
- On your Xbox Home Screen, press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Go to Store (or find the Microsoft Store tile on your Home Screen).
- Search Wildgate and select Get Free Trial.
Steam (PC)
- Open the Steam app on your computer.
- Don’t have it yet? Download and install it from the official Steam website
- Log in to your Steam account.
- In the top menu, click on the Store tab.
- Use the Search bar to find Wildgate and visit its store page.
- Look for the Wildgate - Free Trial and click Install Game/Play Game.
Troubleshooting
I can’t start or launch the Wildgate Free Trial.
- Be sure that you are connected to a stable internet connection.
- Restart Wildgate and/or your console or PC.
- Make sure you have fully downloaded Wildgate and that there are no pending patches when launching.
I have played Wildgate during the Free Weekend, and can’t play the Free Trial.
- Wildgate Free Trial is available for accounts with Prospector levels 1 to 4 only.
Can I complete the Daily and Weekly Missions while on the Wildgate Free Trial?
- Daily Missions that reward XPs are disabled, but Weekly Missions that reward Credits are available.
Do I keep the progress I made and the Friends I added in the Wildgate Free Trial when I purchase Wildgate?
- You'll be able to keep your progress or friends after the Wildgate Free Trial expires. However, you won't be able to continue your progression or play pre-made lobbies with your Friends until you purchase Wildgate.
I’m on Steam and purchased Wildgate, but stuck on the Wildgate Trial
- Check if you have the Full Unlock DLC installed
- If you don't see the DLC in your Steam client (Right-click Wildgate > Properties > DLC), do a full restart of the Steam client
- If you see the DLC, but it is unchecked (see image below), you need to check this box to get full Wildgate access.
