Wildgate uses a virtual currency called Credits to purchase items in the in-game shop. Here’s how Credits work, how to request help with a purchase, and what options exist for limiting spending.
Where to Find the In-Game Shop
Once you’re in Wildgate, look at the top of the screen for the Store button. Click that to open the shop and explore what’s available!
What Are Credits and How Do I Get Them?
Credits are Wildgate’s in-game currency. They can be purchased by in the shop under the Virtual Currency tab, and come in the following amounts:
- 500 Credits
- 1,000 Credits
- 2,100 Credits
- 3,800 Credits
- 5,600 Credits
Once purchased, Credits are added to your Wildgate account and can be spent immediately in the in-game shop. The purchase of Credits is fully handled by the platform (Sony, Microsoft, Valve), so refunds or chargebacks follow their policies.
Will My Credits Work Across Platforms?
Yes! As long as your platform accounts are linked to a Dreamhaven Account, your Credits balance will carry over between platforms.
Example: If you buy Credits on Xbox, they’ll be available on PC or PlayStation - as long as all accounts are properly linked.
Can I Use Items on All Platforms?
Yes! As long as you have a Dreamhaven Account with your platform accounts linked, any item you buy will be available across platforms.
Example: If you buy a cosmetic on PlayStation and later log in on Xbox, you'll see it in your inventory - as long as both accounts are linked through your Dreamhaven Account and you're signed in with it.
Do I Need a Dreamhaven Account to Use the Shop?
No, you don’t need a Dreamhaven Account to make purchases or use the shop on a single platform. But if you want your Credits and purchases to work across platforms, you'll need to link your platform accounts to a Dreamhaven Account and sign in with it.
Can I Block Credit Purchases?
Wildgate doesn’t include its own spending controls, but you can limit purchases by setting up restrictions on your platform:
- PlayStation: Use Sony’s Parental Controls
- Xbox: Visit Microsoft’s Family Settings
- Steam: Use the Steam Family View
- Epic: Use Epic's Parental Controls
I Bought Something but Don’t See It
All in-game items purchased from the shop will show up in the Customize tab under the respective prospector, ship, weapon, or other type of content to which the cosmetic belongs.
If you made a purchase and the content isn’t showing up in your inventory, please try logging out and back in. Sometimes logging out and back in again will refresh your account and you’ll see the purchased content.
Still not seeing it? Submit a support ticket and we’ll take a look.
Can I Get a Refund?
We do provide refunds for in-game content. Please see our refund article here for more information on eligibility requirements.
Purchases of Credits are processed by the platform you are playing on (Valve, Sony, or Microsoft). You will need to reach out to the platform directly for a refund of Credits
