Stuck on "Please Wait" When Purchasing Credits on Steam

If you're trying to purchase Credits from the in-game shop and get stuck on a "Please Wait" banner after clicking the Purchase button, it's likely due to the Steam Overlay being disabled.

How to Fix It

Wildgate uses the Steam Overlay to process in-game purchases. If it's turned off, the transaction window won't appear, and you'll get stuck at the “Please Wait” screen.

Step 1: Enable the Steam Overlay Globally

  1. Open the Steam client.

  2. Click on Steam in the top-left corner and select Settings.

  3. Go to the In-Game section.

  4. Make sure "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.

Step 2: Enable the Steam Overlay for Wildgate Specifically

  1. In your Steam Library, right-click on Wildgate.

  2. Select Properties.

  3. Under the General tab, make sure "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.

Once both settings are enabled, restart Wildgate and try your purchase again.

  • Restart Steam and Wildgate completely.

  • Check for pending Steam client updates.

  • Try running Steam as Administrator.
